Great Opportunity for Certification
Palm Healthcare Foundation and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Palm Beach County Chapter (AACN-PBCC) are partnering to support the following critical-care certifications:|

PCCN: Progressive Care Certified Nurse.
Collectively describes areas known as intermediate care units, direct observation units, step-down units, telemetry units or transitional care units.(Required: 1,750 bedside hours prior to sitting for exam.)
CCRN: Certified Critical-Care Nurse.
Critical-care nurses who care for acutely and /or critically ill patients. (Required: 1,750 bedside hours prior to sitting for exam.)

Thanks to a grant from Palm Healthcare Foundation and support from AACN-PBCC, you attend the workshop for free and pay a reduced certification exam fee.  In order to participate you must:

  1. Be AACN (national) and PBCC (local) nurse member to take advantage of the discounted exam rate.
  2.  If you are not a current member of both organizations, your registration fee will include the cost of a one-year membership for both AACN and PBC Chapter .
  3. As you can see, the total cost for you as a new member is below or very close to the cost of the non-member.

Membership benefits include free local monthly dinner meetings with CEUs, and national provides subscriptions to 3 critical-care nursing journals, web access, current research practice alerts and more.

All attendees must sit for a PCCN or CCRN certification exam within 100 days of the review workshop, per the Palm Healthcare Foundation Grant; which significantly reduces members cost.

SCHOLARSHIP Vouchers:
All self paying attendees* will have the opportunity to win one of a limited number scholarships vouchers (up to $100 max value) provided by Palm Healthcare Foundation; redeemable after sitting for certification exam within 100 days of review. All eligible attendees are automatically entered at the time of registration. You must be present at the end of workshop to receive the scholarship voucher.

* If your registration fee is supported by your employer or another organization you are not eligible for the scholarship voucher drawing.
